Bathtubs

I thought I'd write about another one of my favourite things tonight: the bathtub.

I remember we used to have one when I was little, in our tiny, green bathroom. Sometimes I think I lived my life in there, splashing around, alone, with my mother, or with my sister. Nowadays, I use the tub for relaxation. The warmth of the water, the smell of the bathsoaps or oils, the steam rising up towards the roof. Preferably with my hair in a towel, full of a hair treatment, with a book in my hands and a glass of water at the side of the tub. Sometimes, just lying there, breathing slowly. It takes away all thought, all aches and pains. Soothing, warm, wet and fragrant - what's there not to love?

Corsets

Ah... I love corsets. How they look, how they feel, what they do to your shape, how good they make you feel when you put them on <3 I've been fascinated with corsets ever since I was very, very little, and always dreamt of having that tiny waist it can give you, paired with a billowing skirt. Every dress I ever drew had a corset! And it's still this way. Whenever I draw something, the females wear corsets. Whenever I write something, the female characters wear corsets. Nowadays I get most of mine from www.draculaclothing.com The quality is amazing, they fit perfectly, and there are so many lovely designs! As an added bonus, I know the owners, and model for them now and then :) They also sell lovely clothes, though I only have a dress from them at the moment. 5 corsets though ;) I'll post a few pictures of myself in a corset, just for the fun of it :)
You can't really see the shape on this one, but I love the pic. It's taken in Poland, at the Castle Party

Same place for this one. The person standing next to me is my lovely friend Janne <3

Starting a new hobby!

I've been thinking of posting pictures of my different makeup looks for ages, but have never gotten around to it. I was planning on doing a step by step picture tutorial, and perhaps post it on YouTube, but seeing as my camera is a laptopintegrated one, and that it sucks when it comes to showing the true colour of things, this didn't happen today. I will, however, try again some other time!

I did do a complete makeup look though, and I thought I'd post a few pics of it here! Keep in mind that my camera is showing things as quite blue, and quite a bit brighter. In reality, the look is more subdued, and it's purples, nice, dark, vibrant purples (and black ofc), not the blueish colours it's appearing as. But, it looked nice anyways!

Other than that, this has been a nice day. Dragon Age, a visit from my mother and sister, and time to read my book. Normal people would go to sleep now I suppose, but my insomnia is making sure I'm still awake. So I'm gonna make myself a cup of tea, put on some music, and read some more. All this will probably happen with a dog on my lap as well, he seems to be in the cuddly mood at the moment.

More coming tomorrow!

Nighttime occupations

What does one do when insomnia comes creeping along with inspiration? In my case, I made a new blog. This one that is.

My blogs are usually places I write of less pleasant aspects of my life, or where I place the few writings I write if I want some response to them (not that anyone reads it, my blog not being very well known). But I thought, what if I made a blog about the brighter sides of my life? A place to tell people about the good things, a place to post things of joy! That is what this blog will be. A place to express joy, happiness, contentment.

I was searching around on YouTube for make up tutorials with Lime Crime makeup, seeing as I'm waiting for a huge order of their makeup, due tomorrow, and was interested in seeing if I could get some inspiration for looks, as well as seeing how the makeup went on the skin and such. And I did find some pretty good ones. But then I had a thought: "Why don't I go on to their website?" And so I did.

Once there I looked around at the different products, before clicking my way into the owner/founder's own blog. It was so happy, bubbly, full of GLEE! This was where my little idea for this blog took root. "Why don't I post about happy things?" I wondered aloud to myself. "And why the hell haven't I ever bothered to post my makeup looks, or outfits, or other things that I would like to?" And so, I made myself a cup of tea, nosed around on Pyzam to find a temporary blog-template until I can have something made I can be happy with, and started writing this post.

I'm quite glad I made this one. And I hope I'll be able to keep it up, to keep it free of all the negativity in my life. But I am hopeful that I will be able to do so :)

Now, I shall enjoy my cup of green tea, continue listening to Mozart, and read my book until the sleep fairy sees fit to work her magic on me.
